Background
Leven Smash Repairs (LSR) first approached SPS Solar + Water in 2014 seeking a solar solution for their commercial workshop in Mudgee. As an energy-intensive business, reducing operational overheads and securing long-term savings were key drivers.
An initial 25kW grid-connected system was installed, delivering strong early results. Following business expansion — and impressed by the performance of the first system — LSR returned to SPS to increase capacity, scaling the system up to 43kW.

SPS designed and installed an expanded 43kW on-grid solar system, producing an average of 215kWh per day. The system was tailored to match the workshop’s operational load, ensuring maximum daytime offset and improved cost efficiency.
