Authorised Grundfos Dealer in the central west

Authorised Grundfos Dealer and Installer

We’re an authorised Grundfos dealer based in Mudgee, and we install Grundfos pump systems on properties across the Central West.

That means we don’t just sell you a pump. We size it to your bore, install it, commission it, and service it afterwards. If something goes wrong in year four, you’re ringing the people who put it in.

Why we install Grundfos

You can buy a bore pump for less than half what a Grundfos system costs. Plenty of people do, and plenty of them buy a second one three summers later.

Grundfos design lifecycle cost into the system. Reliability, energy efficiency and servicing intervals are worked out at the engineering stage rather than discovered on your property. The pumps are built from stainless steel for bore water that’s rarely as clean as anyone would like, and the solar range carries dry running protection that shuts the pump down and restarts it automatically when the bore recovers, rather than burning out the motor while you’re two paddocks away.

That last one matters more than it sounds. A bore that draws down faster than it recovers is the single most common way a pump dies early, and it is the failure a cheap pump has no defence against.

We install them because we get the callbacks. A pump that fails in February is our problem as much as yours.

What we install

Solar bore and dam pumping: the SQFlex range

SQFlex is the Grundfos solar submersible range, and it is the workhorse of remote water on properties like the ones we work on. It runs directly off solar, and will also take power from a generator or from mains where there is any, adjusting automatically to whatever is available.

The range splits two ways, and which one you need depends entirely on your bore. Helical rotor models handle high head and low flow, so lifting a modest amount of water a long way up. Centrifugal models handle shallow head and higher flow, so moving a lot of water without much climb. Getting that choice wrong is the difference between a system that works and one that never quite keeps up.

Built in maximum power point tracking gets the most out of the panels through cloud and through the low sun of a winter morning. Dry running, voltage and overload protection are standard

Electric submersible bore pumps: the SP range

Where there is mains power at the bore, the Grundfos SP range covers it. Stainless steel construction throughout, high efficiency motors, and a size range that runs from a house supply through to serious irrigation duty.

Pressure and surface systems

Pressure pumps and surface transfer systems for house and shed supply, tank to tank transfer and irrigation, sized to what the system actually demands rather than to a package.

What buying through an authorised dealer actually gets you

The difference shows up when something goes wrong

Grundfos handle warranty claims through the dealer the product was bought from. That’s deliberate on their part, because the dealer can make the claim on your behalf and usually knows the install.

Buy a pump online from an interstate warehouse and that’s who your claim goes through. If the unit has to go back for assessment, it may be going to another state, and you’re organising it while your troughs are empty.

We sold it, we installed it, and we’re forty minutes up the road. The claim is ours to make and the site details are already on file.

And before that, at the sizing

Most pump failures aren’t manufacturing faults. They’re sizing faults, and a warranty won’t cover a pump that was specced wrong for the head height it’s working against.

We size against the numbers your bore actually gives. Flow rate, standing water level, drawdown and recovery, the distance to the trough and the climb along the way. If those numbers don’t exist yet, we test the bore first.

Local, licensed, and still here in five years

We’re based in Mudgee and we work across the Central West. Gulgong, Rylstone, Kandos, Wellington, Dunedoo, Orange, Dubbo and the country in between.

Licensed electrical contractor, licence 453115C.

The same team quotes your job, installs it, commissions it and picks up the phone when you ring about it four years later. That’s the part a franchise can’t sell you.

No generic packages. No upselling. We take the time to understand what the property actually needs and build a system that suits it.

FAQs

Common questions about our systems

Are you an authorised Grundfos dealer?

Yes. We’re an authorised Grundfos dealer based in Mudgee, installing across the Central West.

Can I just buy the pump from you and install it myself?

We’re set up as an installer rather than a retailer, so what we quote is a system that’s sized, installed and commissioned. That’s deliberate. Most pump failures we’re called out to are sizing or installation problems rather than product faults.

Which Grundfos pump do I need?
That depends on what your bore gives and how far the water has to travel and climb. Helical rotor models suit high head and low flow, centrifugal models suit shallow head and high flow. We work it out from your bore figures, and test the bore first if those figures don’t exist.
What does a Grundfos solar pump system cost?
It varies with head height, distance, flow and what’s already at the site. We quote after we understand the property, and we’ll tell you what’s driving the number.
Do Grundfos pumps come with a warranty?

Yes. Grundfos products carry a manufacturer’s warranty, and claims are made through the dealer the product was purchased from. Because we sell and install, that’s us, and we already have your site details.

What happens if my bore runs dry?

The SQFlex range has dry running protection built in. The pump shuts down before the motor is damaged and restarts automatically once the bore recovers. It’s one of the reasons we specify them for bores we’re unsure about.
