Steve Harding and his team at Solar Pumping Solutions installed a large-scale solar irrigation bore on our farm in late 2015. At the time, this off grid solar diesel hybrid pump was one of the first of its kind in the world.
Steve’s willingness to undertake such an immense project was fantastic. The research needed, about the integration of pumps, solar, diesel generators and controlling and monitoring of all of these inputs was enormous.
Steve was always willing to discuss the project and sought our ideas and views on different aspects of the installation. Solar Pumping Solutions engaged all sub-contractors and suppliers for the job, and coordinated the project so we only had to deal with a one stop solar pump shop.
The hybrid pump system is working above our expectations and saving us immeasurable amounts of diesel already. Steve has been on hand to fine tune small changes within the system that have increased our ease of use and efficiencies in an ongoing manner.
We are more than happy with this new technology and we have plans to further integrate more solar into our farming systems.”
